The San Francisco Unicorns schedule for 2026 Cognizant Major League Cricket has officially been announced, with the Bay Area set to host the league’s playoffs and Championship game at the Oakland Coliseum.
In a milestone moment for cricket in Northern California, the fourth season of MLC will see its entire postseason hosted in the Bay Area. The Oakland Coliseum will also host regular-season matches, alongside Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium, near Dallas, TX, and a new venue in Fairplex, in Pomona, CA.
Grand Prairie Stadium, near Dallas, will host the Unicorns’ first match, a California derby against the LA Knight Riders, on Friday, June 19, 2026, followed by a game against Texas Super Kings in a double-header on Saturday, June 20, 2026, before league play shifts to Oakland.
The San Francisco Unicorns will then face the Texas Super Kings once more, followed by matches against the Seattle Orcas and Washington Freedom.
The next fixtures will take place at Fairplex, where the Unicorns will face Washington Freedom and MI New York. Fairplex is also set to host cricket at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
The final group games will be back in Texas, with the Unicorns facing off against MI New York, LA Knight Riders, and Seattle Orcas.
Following the success of the inaugural matches in Oakland in 2025, the playoff matches will commence on July 15 in the Bay, with the Championship match scheduled for 5pm ET on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be bringing world-class cricket back to the Bay,” said Unicorns CEO David White. “Hosting the postseason and the Championship game in Oakland is a huge moment for our fans, and for the continued growth of cricket in the Bay Area.
“We’re ready to battle for our first Championship on home soil under new head coach, Cameron White, with a roster packed full of elite cricketing talent.”
